How does an Aiphone/Intercom System work?

Someone that wants to gain entry will press the request for entry button on the wall. The button will automatically send a signal to the Master Station and the Master Station will allow you to see the person (if camera is installed) and talk to them (if a microphone is installed). After verification is completed, the security/management personnel can press the unlock button (if equipped) to allow the person gain entry.
